A registered person can be temporarily suspended from the Register while we investigate allegations or concerns that have not yet been proven. A registered person would be suspended if necessary, for the protection of the public, is in the interest of the public or is in the interest of the registered person. These suspensions are called interim suspension orders. Being suspended means that the registered person cannot work in their registered role while the suspension is in place.
The set period for interim orders cannot be more than 18 months.
