Appeals against panel decisions
The Care Standards Tribunal (First Tier) hears appeals against decisions made by our panels. The time limit for appealing is usually 28 days after a decision. All tribunal decisions and reasons are available on their site.
Appeals against decisions made by us
You can appeal decisions about your application at a Registration Appeals Panel.
This panel can decide to:
- confirm the original decision
- make another decision
- send it back to us with instructions on how we should settle it.
The applicant or registered person is invited to attend. They can also be represented at this hearing.
This hearing is in private unless the person asks for it to be in public.
