Consultation about Phase 3 of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act – now live!

The Welsh Government has published three consultations relating to Phase 3 of implementation of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.

The Act establishes a new system of regulation and inspection of social care that upholds the rights of Welsh citizens to dignified, safe and appropriate care and support.

The Welsh Government is consulting on improvements to the regulation of fostering services, adult placement services and, for the first time, of advocacy services in respect of children’s statutory advocacy.

The Minister for Children, Older People and Social Care has issued a written statement about the consultation for Phase 3 of the regulations.

In support of these consultations the Welsh Government is holding the following information events:

  • Wrexham, Wednesday 20 June 2018
  • Cardiff, Thursday 19 July 2018
