Join webinars about our proposals for fees, qualifications and a code for employers

04 August 2017
Social Care Wales

Four webinars will be held between the middle of August and early October for anyone wishing to find out more and ask questions about our latest consultation on regulatory matters, Transforming care in the 21st century.

The consultation includes proposals on registration fees, required qualifications and a code of professional practice for employers of care staff. They are designed to help transform standards of care and raise the status of the social care workforce in Wales. They are also in-line with the Welsh Government’s recognition of social care as a sector of national strategic importance.

The webinars are free and open to everyone, whether you’re already on our Register of Social Care Workers, an unregistered worker, an employer or someone who uses services.

You’ll have an opportunity to hear from Gerry Evans, our Director of Regulation and Intelligence, who will explain the proposals and answer any queries. Three of the webinars will be conducted in English and there will be one through the medium of Welsh only.

The dates and times of the webinars are:

  • Wednesday 16 August - 11.30 -12.30
  • Wednesday 23 August - 11.00 -12.00 (Welsh only webinar)
  • Thursday 31 August -11.00 -12.00
  • Tuesday 3 October -14.30 - 15.30
