We produce an annual report that provides a snapshot of the social care workforce in Wales. We also publish registration data about the people on our Register.
Annual workforce report
This report gives a snapshot of the social care workforce in Wales.
From 2026, we collect the data for this report through Care Inspectorate Wales's annual return process. Combining our two collections into one shared process will make it easier for social care providers to submit their data.

Registration data
You can access the latest data about the registered social care workforce by using our dedicated dashboard on the National Social Care Data Portal for Wales.
The dashboard gives you an overview of some of the data we hold as part of the Register, and you can tailor it to show the information you’re most interested in.
