New learning resources for child and adult practice reviews

| SCW Online

We have published a new suite of resources to support professionals to carry out child and adult practice reviews.

In 2016, the Welsh Government published guidance on multi-agency child and adult practice reviews. Reviews of this type may be required following a significant incident where abuse or neglect of a child or an adult at risk is known or suspected.

The resources take people through the process of undertaking a review. They cover topics such as the principles underpinning reviews in Wales, the review system, roles, accountabilities and challenges, reviews as a way of promoting learning, involving families and carers, writing reports and developing recommendations and actions for improvement.

Developed by Research in Practice for Adults, the reviews can be used for on-line learning or delivering face-to-face training.
