Jodie Evans, an area manager at St Aubin Nurseries & Out of School Clubs, has today been named the winner of the 2026 Caring in Welsh award at an event at Y Garreg Las National Eisteddfod.

Together with Welsh Government, we’ve published the second annual social care Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) report.  This report helps monitor the experience of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people who work in health and social care in Wales. 

We’re looking for adult social care providers to take part in a new project to help shape and test approaches which support positive cultures in social care across Wales.

This annual report gives us a picture of the size and characteristics of the social care workforce in Wales. 

Voting is now open to choose a winner for the 2026 Caring in Welsh award.
