A Fitness to Practise Panel that sat remotely on 06-09 April 2021 has found allegations of making inappropriate sexual comments to a female member of staff, inappropriate and derogatory comments to another member of staff, and failure to complete vital paperwork, proved against Martin Wellington, a registered residential childcare worker.
The Panel found Martin Wellington’s current fitness to practise was impaired and imposed a 12-month Conditional Registration Order. This means that Mr Wellington continues in his registered role but must meet specific conditions set out by the panel. The Order will be reviewed 2 months before its conclusion.
Martin Wellington has the right of appeal to the Care Standards Tribunal within 28 days.
A copy of the panel’s conditions and reasons are available upon request.
