What it means to be registered
Most social care workers in Wales must register with us because it’s a legal requirement made by the Welsh Government.
Regulation protects the public by making sure the people registered with us are safe to work in care.
Being on the Register means you’re part of a professional workforce and can show you have the skills and knowledge to provide good care and support to the people of Wales.

Supporting you with your registration

- The Codes of Professional Practice and practice guidance set out the standards care professionals must work to.
- Information to help you plan your continuous professional development (CPD).
- Guidance for workers about completing the All Wales induction framework and other qualifications.
- Resources to help you use Welsh at work, including free Camau Welsh language courses for social care workers.
- A range of online learning modules.
- Resources about subjects such as dementia, early years and childcare, leadership, personal outcomes and safeguarding.
- Opportunities to attend events, training and conferences.
