Decision summary

A Fitness to Practise Panel has found a conviction for possession with intent of a controlled drug of class A and an allegation of failure to disclose this to her employer, proved against Jade Youde, a registered domiciliary care worker.

The Panel found Jade Youde’s current fitness to practise was impaired and imposed a Removal Order which means she will be unable to work in a regulated social care role in Wales. Jade Youde’s name will be taken off the Register and placed on the List of Persons Removed.

Jade Youde has the right of appeal to the Care Standards Tribunal within 28 days.

Summary of allegations

Ms Youde was sentenced to 27 months imprisonment for the offence of possessing a controlled drug of class A with intent, contrary to section 5 (3) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Ms Youde failed to disclose to her employer that she was the subject of police investigations for offences of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.

Ms Youde’s actions as stated above were dishonest and/or lacked integrity.
