A Fitness to Practise Panel has found the following allegations proved against Vladimir Ivanov, a residential child care worker
• restrained Young Person A when it was not appropriate to do so, using an inappropriate restraint on one or more occasions
• used excessive force and caused Young Person A's head to come into contact with a wall
• behaved in a threatening and/or intimidating manner causing harm to Young Person A
• did not adhere to Respect training he had previously received.
The Panel found Vladimir Ivanov’s current fitness to practise was impaired and imposed a removal order which means he can no longer work in any regulated social care role in Wales.
Vladimir Ivanov has the right of appeal to the Care Standards Tribunal within 28 days.
