Siobhan Maclean has been a social worker for 33 years. As an independent social worker, Siobhan’s work includes training, developing practice learning resources and consultancy work.

Siobhan has also written widely on social work theory and critical reflection.

This session is an opportunity for you to learn how to support the development of reflective practice. You’ll meet other practice educators and share knowledge and experiences about the things that are important to you in your role.

Attending this session will count towards your continuous professional development (CPD) if you’re registered with us.

This session is for practice educators and anyone completing the Enabling Practice Learning course.

What we'll cover

In this session, you’ll learn about the What? Why? How? framework and how you can apply this to reflective practice.

You’ll learn about:

  • the stages and steps of reflection
  • using analysis in practice
  • models of reflection and their different processes
  • complexity and analysis
  • shared responsibilities in the development of reflection and analysis.
