It's a statutory role.
We're supporting the young
people and children, and their families,
in our local community.
Making care arrangements and
accessing the support and resources
that they need.
I nominated Victoria for this award
because she's a super caring
person, individual and professional.
She makes every effort
with young people.
Victoria is willing to address things
in the face of adversity
and doesn't matter
how pressured things get.
Victoria's there and manages those intense,
difficult moments.
I would say the highlight of my job
is meeting
the really fantastic
young people that we work with.
Seeing them develop,
seeing them access opportunities,
and seeing how resilient
some of the young people are
that we work with. Even some
who've experienced a lot of trauma
and loss, how they managed to face
that and achieve so much.
Victoria notices and understands
young people's needs.
The complexity of those needs,
their vulnerability, as well as,
wanting to do the best and advocate
for them as strongly as she possibly can.
She's committed to those
she supports,
and she often puts others above herself.
