Values based self-assessment tool
A Question of Care’s interactive video challenge helps job seekers see what a career in care is like. At the end of the challenge, they’ll receive a detailed personal profile that outlines their strengths and areas for development. Their personal profile can then be shared with employers as part of a values-based approach to recruitment.
Values-based recruitment
This resource for managers includes advice and tools for domiciliary care services to offer values-based recruitment in the workplace. It also offers support for people to work in an outcome-focused way.
Attraction, recruitment and retention: a guide for employers
As part of a wider suite of research, we’ve developed a guide for employers on how to approach and improve attraction, recruitment and retention.
A user personas toolkit
As part of the guide for employers, we also produced a toolkit to show how user personas can be used to support jobseekers in the social care sector. User personas are characters, usually fictional, that represent a target audience or service user. Our toolkit includes several example personas.
Employing young people
Employing 16 and 17 year olds in the social care sector in Wales can sometimes be difficult, especially for regulated services. We’ve developed a guide to help you support young people into the sector.
Staff who are new to Wales
We want to support employers with staff who are new to Wales to settle into their new role and help them feel welcome and established. Supported and motivated workers are more likely to want to stay. Visit this resource to learn more.
