Join us for this interactive online session inspired by what we learned from the 2026 Have your say survey. The survey found that making a difference to people's lives is one of the main reasons people choose to work in social care. 

Together, we'll celebrate the contribution of the social care workforce and share inspiring stories from across Wales.

We’ll explore how recognising and capturing the impact people have can help organisations attract, support, motivate and keep staff, and improve services through continuous learning. 

During the session we'll: 

• look at how values-based recruitment can help attract and keep staff who share the values of social care 
• explore what "making a difference" means in practice 
• hear stories that highlight the impact of social care on people's lives 
• share ideas for recognising and celebrating success 
• discuss how positive workplace cultures help people feel valued and supported 
• explore the link between purpose, recognition and keeping staff 
• think about how you can shine a light on your organisation’s achievements  
• signpost to practical resources from Social Care Wales. 

This session is aimed at social care employers, registered managers, team leaders and others with an interest in creating positive workplace cultures where people feel valued, recognised and inspired to stay. 

This will be an interactive event. You'll have opportunities to reflect, share experiences and learn from colleagues across Wales. Come ready to celebrate the achievements of your team and take part in the discussion.
