This is a Well-being Week 2025 event.

Every part of our working life affects our well-being, including the environment in which we work, how we feel about our work, the organisation and the people we work with.

Workplace policies describe what’s expected from everyone who works for an organisation. They play an important role in keeping people safe and supported in work.

What we'll cover

This workshop will be in two parts:

  • in part one, we’ll look at the role workplace policy plays in well-being at work
  • in part two, we’ll look at why you should have a specific well-being at work policy.

Who is the event for?

This workshop is for anyone who’s responsible for developing or updating workplace policies in social care and early years, childcare and play and early years, including:

  • managers
  • team leaders
  • people who have an HR function in their job role.

What we’ll cover

This workshop is a great opportunity to:

  • take some time to think about the content of your organisation’s policies
  • hear suggestions and advice about how to change your policies to better support well-being in your workplace
  • share ideas with other managers and team leaders on how to make policies effective and meaningful
  • discuss what to include in a well-being at work policy
  • get policy templates and links to further resources and support you could include.

Who will be speaking or presenting?

Claire Lynch Training, Manager at RCS wellbeing for work.
