Welcome to the 2026 Accolades
A welcome from Mick and Sarah
A warm welcome to you all to the 2026 Accolades where we celebrate the achievements of the social care, social work and childcare, play and early years workforce.
The Accolades are a chance for us to shine a light on the people and projects that have gone above and beyond to make a hugely positive difference to people’s lives.
This year marks the 21st anniversary year of the Accolades and in that time we’ve recognised, celebrated and shared the work of dozens of remarkable projects and workers providing invaluable care and support to children, adults and families in communities across Wales.
The awards continue to go from strength to strength and this year, we were thrilled to receive 141 entries and nominations from across Wales – the highest number in the awards’ history. This brilliant response goes to show just how much good work is happening across the country.
Eleven teams and eight workers have made it to the final. It’s wonderful to welcome them here today and we’re very much looking forward to recognising, celebrating and sharing their incredible achievements.
We’re grateful to all those who’ve entered and nominated teams or workers for this year’s awards because it means we can recognise, celebrate and share these examples of excellent practice.
Working in partnership is crucial to the success of the Accolades – we certainly couldn’t do it on our own. We would like to thank our judges for the time, effort and expertise they have devoted to the judging process.
Many congratulations to all those who’ve reached the final stages of the Accolades. It’s an excellent achievement of which you should be very proud.
We hope you enjoy today’s celebration event.
