A Fitness to Practise Panel has found the following allegations proved against Matthew Griffiths, a registered residential child care worker:
• Failed to safeguard YP1 when he became aware his partner had been failing to maintain an appropriate professional boundary and had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with YP1. Mr Griffiths also made false statements to the police and his employer when they were investigating the allegations.
The Panel found Matthew Griffiths fitness to practise was not currently impaired and imposed a Warning for three years.
Matthew Griffiths has the right of appeal to the Care Standards Tribunal within 28 days.
