Have Your Say 2026: Tell us about your experience of working in social care

| Social Care Wales

Our Have Your Say survey of the social care workforce in Wales is now open.

This annual survey is your chance to tell us about your experience of working in social care.

Just like in previous years, you’ll have an opportunity to answer questions about things like your health and well-being, pay and conditions, and how you feel about working in the sector.

Your responses give us a fantastic insight into what it’s like to work in social care in Wales and help inform the support we and our partners offer. They also highlight important issues to Welsh Government and help us to monitor trends over time.

The survey will take around 20 minutes to complete. Your responses will be completely anonymous – no one will know who’s taken part in the survey.

The survey will close on 4 March.

Even if you’ve left the sector, we’d love to hear about your experiences. There’ll be an opportunity for you to share your thoughts as part of the process.

Everyone who completes the survey will have a chance to enter a draw to win a £50 shopping voucher.

This will be the fourth time we’ve held the survey, having launched it in 2023.

We’ve commissioned a team of independent researchers based at Cardiff University’s Centre for Adult Social Care Research and Social Science Research Park to carry out this work.

We’ll share the results on our website later in 2026.

Sarah McCarty, our chief executive, said:

"This survey is a chance to make your voice heard by sharing your experiences of working in social care in Wales.

"Your views help shape the support we and other organisations provide for you and your employer.

"It’s the only national survey that gives a clear picture of what it’s really like to work in social care and social work across Wales.

"We know you’re busy and that completing a survey might not feel like a priority. But taking the time to share your views will help us understand what is important to you.

"Please don’t miss your chance to have your say."
