From 1 April 2025, if you’re registered with us, you won’t need to log details of your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in SCWonline.
We’re removing the hours target from CPD
We recognise that what’s most important is the quality and impact of your learning as set out in the standards set by the Code of Professional Practice. This means you won’t need to provide evidence of having completed 45 or 90 hours of training every three years.
We won’t ask for a training record when you renew your registration
You’ll still need to meet regularly with your manager to discuss CPD to ensure it helps improve your delivery of care and support, and make sure it meets the standards set by the Code of Professional Practice. We may contact you to check a sample of records.
