Having been around the block when it comes to social care practice, she wouldn't have wanted a career in anything else.
Inspired by people with lived experience, her passion for making a difference shines through in everything she does.
Now, Bex focuses on working with the sector workforce to include compassionate leadership in their practice and organisations.
Rebecca Davies, Managing Director, Willow Daycare Ltd
Rebecca has over 30 years’ experience working in the childcare sector, from her roles as nursery assistant to nursery manager, to now being the managing director of Willow Daycare Ltd. Willow Daycare is based within the grounds of Glangwili hospital in Carmarthen and supports NHS employees and the local community with their childcare needs.
Willow Daycare prides itself on offering a quality service which is affordable and flexible. Personal development is very important to Rebecca and she’s passionate about providing the opportunity for her team of staff to develop within their roles at the setting.
Rebecca’s session will be looking at how Willow Daycare has embedded equity, equality, diversity and inclusion within the setting. This interactive session will explore how this was developed, with some reflection on challenges and approaches. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions.
