This series of three workshops will help you understand the importance of self-compassion and well-being while working in the social care and childcare, play and early years sectors.

Who this series is for

This series is for anyone who works in social care or childcare, play and early years.

What we’ll cover

Session one: self-compassion and well-being fundamentals

In this session, we’ll:

  • learn what self-compassion is, why it supports well-being and how it can make you a better leader
  • explore the principles of Michael West’s compassionate leadership and how it relates to self-compassion.

Session two: well-being in action

In this session, we’ll:

  • provide practical skills to help respond to challenges
  • discuss what we mean by well-being in the workplace
  • learn how stress and anxiety can affect the body and mind
  • learn skills and techniques to reduce stress and anxiety.

Session three: practical support for you and your team

In this session, we’ll

  • learn how to assess needs to support self-compassion and well-being in the best way
  • create a plan to support self-compassion and well-being for you and your team.
