A huge thank you to our four outgoing Board members – Damian, Donna, Jane and Peter!

| Social Care Wales

This week we’re bidding farewell to four of our longstanding Board members: Damian Bridgeman, Donna Hutton, Jane Moore and Peter Max.

Donna, Jane and Peter joined us in April 2017 when Social Care Wales was formed, whilst Damian has served as a Board member since April 2014.

Damian originally served on the Board of our predecessor organisation the Care Council for Wales and continued when we became Social Care Wales to provide continuity at Board level.

As members of the Board, all four have played a significant role in scrutinising our work and ensure we follow good practice when it comes to our governance.

They have also contributed to the work of Social Care Wales at a national level, for example, by acting as judges for the highly prestigious Accolades awards.

We’d like to say a big thank you to Damian, Donna, Jane and Peter for their commitment and support, and for the insights and expertise they’ve brought to our Board during their tenure.

Our Chair Mick Giannasi said: “Over the last seven years Social Care Wales has earned a reputation as a trusted and valued source of national leadership and support for the social care and early years sectors in Wales. That is due in no small part to the effective corporate governance arrangements, which have been put in place to enable the organisation to deliver its remit.

“We are hugely grateful to Damian, Donna, Jane and Peter for the tremendous contribution they have made to the development of those arrangements and we wish them well in the next chapter of their lives.”

A recruitment process to identify new members to succeed Damian, Donna, Jane and Peter has recently been concluded and an announcement is expected shortly.
