Coming soon: new induction framework for early years and childcare managers

| Social Care Wales

We’ve developed a brand-new resource to support new early years and childcare managers with their leadership journeys.

On 28 November, at our national early years and childcare conference, we’re launching the All Wales induction framework (AWIF) for early years and childcare managers.

The induction framework is based on Welsh Government’s vision for a highly skilled, professional childcare workforce. New managers who use the resource can expect to learn about the most important points of knowledge and practice for leadership and management in early years and childcare. They’ll also find tools for professional growth and development.

Gemma Halliday, our Assistant Director for early years said, “The AWIF is a great resource for supporting continuing professional development (CPD). It helps to develop the knowledge and understanding needed for leadership and management in the children’s care, play, learning and development sector.

“The AWIF can also help managers settle into new roles or settings, helping them to develop the skills they need to support teams to offer the highest standards of child-centred practice”

How to get the AWIF

Dawn Bowden MS, Minister for Children and Social Care, will launch the framework at our national early years and childcare conference on 28 November.

You’ll be able to download the AWIF from our website after the conference.

Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for our guides and support tools to help you make the most of the AWIF.
