We’re excited to announce that our latest innovation, the qualification chatbot, has been launched. This chatbot helps users navigate the qualification requirements and processes for their roles.
Following user research, we gathered feedback to inform the development and improve the user experience of the chatbot, which is designed to help users find qualifications for social care, early years, and childcare work in Wales.
Using this technology, will help us improve user experience and users will be able to ask the chatbot a question and receive faster and accurate answers. By making sure every interaction with the chatbot is recorded with precision, we’re developing trust and accountability in how qualifications are assessed through these automated conversations.
The qualifications chatbot follows the Algorithmic Transparency Recording Standard (ATRS) from the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. Its goal is to help the public trust how algorithms are used in the public sector.
This standard is a leading example worldwide and sets a clear way for public sector organisations to share information about their use of algorithms in decision-making.
Any public body using algorithms can use this standard. It offers many benefits, such as building public trust, showcasing good practices, spotting problems early, and learning from each other.
