0:09 It is really wonderful to be recognised for the work that we do.
0:14 And I’d be so proud for myself and my staff team,
0:19 for the young person we cared for,
0:22 the young people we are caring for now and going forward.
0:29 I can't say there's anything I dislike about the job.
0:33 On times obviously the nature of the role,
0:37 it can be,
0:40 it can be stressful.
0:42 It can at times be quite upsetting,
0:46 it can be sad,
0:48 but it also can be very,
0:50 very rewarding.
0:52 Sometimes when you first meet the young people,
0:56 from that initial first meeting through to building the
0:59 relationships that can be quite a struggle
1:03 and that can take anything from one day
1:06 up to possibly six weeks.
1:09 But when you get that breakthrough,
1:11 it is very, very rewarding.
1:16 Empathy,
1:18 understanding, patience,
1:23 strength, resilience, wanting to help
1:27 and to give children
1:29 and young people the opportunity
1:32 to be the best that they can be.
1:34 And to support them,
1:38 to find those opportunities
1:40 and source those opportunities.
