Nici Evans, Practice Improvement Advisor in Wales

Nici’s passionate about finding better ways of working together to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable children, adults and families and responses for people affected by child sexual abuse.
Nici’s background is in nursing, palliative care, and teaching. Throughout her career, she’s had strong links to nursing, health, social care and police professionals. She’s supported women working in the sex industry, and victims of human trafficking and slavery.
Nici’s professional areas of special interest include communication and interpersonal skills training, trauma, and working with victims and survivors of child sexual abuse.
A qualified psychotherapist, Nici works with children and young people one day a week at a Cardiff high school. Nici also gives psychological support and runs reflective practice sessions for health professionals working in the NHS.
