Well-being Week 2025: a space for you

| Social Care Wales

We’re running a week of online well-being events in January to support people who work in social care, and early years and childcare in Wales.

From 20 to 24 January, we’ll be joined by special guests who’ll share information about the things you can do to support your own well-being and the well-being of people around you.

Well-being Week 2025 is a positive space where people in the sector can come together to learn about well-being and share best practice.

There’ll be lots of different sessions to suit everyone – from workshops to webinars – on topics including:

  • feeling psychologically safe at work
  • making sure workplace policies support well-being
  • speaking up safely.

The events are open to everyone in the sector and you can join as many events as you like.

If you’re registered with us, attending events will count towards your continuing professional development (CPD).

“An opportunity to make time for well-being”

Einir Hinson, Team Manager at Conwy County Council and Social Care Wales Board Member will be opening Well-being Week.

Einir said:

“I’m delighted to be part of Well-being Week 2025.

“Each session will be a great opportunity for people in social care to make time for well-being – protected time to connect with others and reconnect with the things that support their own well-being.”

“When we focus on well-being, great things follow”

Rebecca Cicero, Improvement and Development Manager for Well-being at Social Care Wales said:

“When we focus on well-being, great things follow. We know that good well-being leads to better retention, happier staff and more efficient organisations.

"Supporting well-being is an important part of our workforce strategy. We hope people who work in social care and early years and childcare will take advantage of this protected time to find out more about supporting well-being.

“We’re looking forward to making a bright space for staff and leaders at the beginning of a new year, so we start 2025 as we mean to go on.”
